Hello, I`m Yana-a pianist who tells stories through music.
Music is my language, and every note is a chapter.
My Journey
Yanica Hristova is a Bulgarian-born classical pianist with an international career spanning Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and beyond. Her artistry combines technical brilliance with emotional depth, making her a sought-after performer for solo recitals, ensemble projects, and contemporary premieres.
She began piano studies at age 9 and debuted with the Rousse Philharmonic Orchestra at 12. Her formal education includes the National School of Arts “Prof. Vesselin Stoyanov” (Rousse), Prince Claus Conservatory (Groningen), and the Royal Academy of Arts (The Hague), where she earned both Bachelor and Master’s degrees with distinction. In 2016, she completed her Konzertexamen at the Hochschule für Musik Trossingen under Prof. Tomislav Baynov.
Yanica has performed across Europe and won over 40 prizes from international competitions in Bulgaria, Romania, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Russia. Recent accolades include:

In 2022, she released her debut CD Etudes, Impromptus with the French label Melism (Paris), featuring works by Franz Schubert and Bulgarian composers. In 2023, she made her jazz debut at the legendary MPS Studio Villingen, performing the complete works of Friedrich Gulda — including her own improvisations — on the Bösendorfer Grand Imperial personally selected and played by Gulda.
Her repertoire spans Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart, and Messiaen, whose Regards sur l’Enfant Jésus she premiered in the Netherlands. She is also active in cross-genre collaborations, including pop, gospel, and jazz.
Since 2013, Yanica has been a core member of the Baynov Piano Ensemble, performing in large-scale projects with up to 16 pianists. She regularly gives recitals in Germany, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, and Turkey.
Each brushstroke, each word, each moment has shaped the path I walk today. Some of these steps have been met with recognition — quiet echoes that remind me art leaves traces. If you’re curious to see where creativity has led me, you’re warmly invited to explore:
